Mohammad Salem is interested in how healthcare systems can better align strategy, financing, and service delivery to improve health outcomes for individuals and communities. His experience spans healthcare and life sciences consulting, health systems research, and program evaluation.

Mohammad previously worked as a healthcare consultant, advising pharmaceutical, medical device, diagnostics, and healthcare technology companies on commercial strategy, market assessment, pricing, and due diligence. His work used quantitative analysis and primary research to translate complex healthcare data into data-driven strategic recommendations.

While at the University of Oxford, Mohammad’s work focused on co-design and community engagement as approaches to developing health interventions that reflect local needs and priorities. His master’s thesis focused on designing and adapting a WHO hospital-based framework intervention to improve patient safety in Jordan, working with local stakeholders to inform its adaptation and implementation.

Mohammad has also worked with International Medical Corps, supporting monitoring and evaluation of humanitarian health programs.

Mohammad lives in the Chicago area. Outside of work, he enjoys trying new restaurants, watching movies, and experimenting with new baking recipes.
